Remote Assessments

Online Personal Injury Assessment

Streamlined online psychological assessment for personal injury claims. Trusted by solicitors nationwide, Dr Sian Thrasher, an experienced Clinical Psychologist, conducts remote assessments, specialising in cases where there has been a traumatic event.

What happens at a personal injury assessment?

We know how stressful the process of litigation can be. That’s why we ensure that, if you require a psychological assessment, our experienced team will make this process as smooth as possible.

If your solicitor has instructed us for a psychological assessment as part of your personal injury claim, we will contact you promptly with the next available appointment for this kind of assessment.

Your appointment will be with Dr Sian Thrasher, our Consultant Clinical Psychologist, who is specialised in assessing people’s emotional reactions to different types of trauma. She has over 30 years’ experience in this type of assessment. You will receive a letter, usually sent by email, with details of an appointment. If you have no difficulties with a remote appointment, your appointment will be via video or telephone call.

Shortly before your appointment, you will be sent some questionnaires which Dr Thrasher will use as part of her report. If you have any difficulties or questions about these, you are very welcome to contact us.
After your appointment with Dr Thrasher, your report will be sent to your solicitor and shared with you.

What types of problems are associated with reactions to trauma?

Some symptoms experienced by people after a traumatic event include:

  • Alcohol and drug misuse
  • Anger management issues
  • Depression
  • Difficulty adjusting to pain and disability
  • Driving phobia
  • Low self-esteem
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
  • Panic attacks
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Relationship problems
  • Sleep disturbance

If as a solicitor, any of your clients are struggling with any of these symptoms, they may benefit from a psychological assessment to their injury. If you are uncertain as to whether or not your client has had an emotional reaction to a traumatic experience, we have a set of self-report questionnaires for your client to complete which will help identify symptoms.

Because the majority of our assessments are conducted remotely, we can work with your clients, regardless of their location. Remote appointments have proven to be both sufficient and accurate in assessing clients’ reactions to traumatic events.
